Welcome to District 70 Toastmasters

District 70 Toastmasters consists of 136 clubs across ACT and Southern New South Wales, from the Victorian border to the Parramatta River.

Toastmasters is an International organisation founded in California, USA 100 years ago. Our focus is on self-paced education in communication, public speaking and leadership and open to anyone aged 18 years and over.

Those under 18 may be interested in our Youth Leadership Program and Gavel Clubs.

Accredited Speaker

Congratulations to Dale Rees-Bevan DTM who is one of the first three females in the Southern Hemisphere to ahiceve the prestigious Accredited Speaker recognition at the 2023 Toastmasters International Convention. Rees-Bevan gave a presentation on behaviours of confident people and was recognised for her mastery of public speaking. She is the first female speaker and second speaker in Australia to achieve this milestone. Gergory Van Borssum achieved Accredited Speaker status in 2019.

To Past District Governor Philip Bendeich, on being awarded a Presidential Citation from Toastmasters International, in recognition of outstanding achievement in representing the goals & ideals of Toastmasters and is one of Toastmasters’ highest honours.
